Kenneth Chibuogwu Gbandi, the CEO of HiBC GmbH Germany was born 42 years ago in Akwkwu Igbo, Delta State, a southeastern town of Nigeria. He graduated in 1992 from university of calabar, a leading first generation university in Nigeria with a BSc. Hons in Geography and Regional Planning majoring in economic geography. There after he had his compulsory one year National Youth Service programme in Auchi in Edo-State Nigeria. On the recommendation of Otaru of Auchi and the ruling council, he received an NYSC merit award for outstanding and innovative services and automatic employment by the then military administrator of Edo state to teach at the Boys Model Secondary School Ewonika Benin, Edo – State as a Geography teacher. After few months he left Nigeria for Germany in 1993.


While at the university of calabar he was the Features Editor GRPSA Press Organization, the vice president and director board of editorial affair University Press Organization CAO, a member of the National Union of Campus Journalist an affiliation of Nigerian Union of Journalists an equivalent of DJU (Deutsche Journalistic Union or DJV (Deutsche journalistic Verband) a position he held until graduation in 1992. He also received an award by his departmental association GRPSA as the best behaved student in the graduating .


In 1999 he was admitted to the University of Hamburg where he took causes in Statistic, Business Law, Business English in addition to German language for foreigners. As a student he worked in various organizations including German Parcel Service Hamburg, German Federal Post Hamburg, ELMO GmbH (Eletro & Gerätemontagen) Hamburg, HKS Elektrotechnik GmbH Hamburg.


The CEOIn 1999, he registered Kenconsult, a part time consulting firm, which offers business and consultancy services for African-German business community as well as Internet data bank. In February 2003 Kenconsult was registered upgraded to eK and African Heritage Magazine the first and till date the biggest Afro-German business and infortainment magazine was launched on January 30th 2004. In August 2005 Heritage Media Consult limited was incorporated to take over from Kenconsult. eK. By 2009 Mr. Gbandi became the CEO of the newly formed HiBC GmbH Germany (Limited liability Company).


Mr. Gbandi is pursuing a Master degree program in Peace and Security at the University of Hamburg and he is currently a research student at German Institute of Global and Area Studies (GIGA) which is a member of the prestigious Leibniz-Institut for Globale and Regionale Studies


He is a member of many professional organizations including Nigerian Professionals and Entrepreneurs in Germany (project Manager), Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, German Union of Journalists,
Inter-Cultural Media Hamburg, Advisory Board member, Hamburg Stiftung (Hamburg), African Business Group – Xing, Member and Co-founder Nigerian Community Football Club NCG FC Hamburg. Mr. Gbandi is married with two children
